Wilder Foncea became my trainer several years ago just after I quit smoking. I joined the gym and signed up for personal training. I was in probably the worst shape of my life and Wilder took me and turned it all around. We started out with small steps and over the course of a year worked my body into the best shape ever. Then about a year into the training, I had a terrible accident and shattered my L1 vertebrae. After several weeks of recovery from extensive surgery, Wilder stepped in to work rehabilitation with me. He stayed by my side through it all, advising me with specific exercises and cautioning me when I wanted to work too hard. I am now almost a year past my second surgery and back in the best shape ever.
Wilder was one of the first contacts after my accident and I know I would not be recovered to this extent without him. He is extremely caring but also firm and knows exactly how much to push and when to back off. There were several times I was set for a training session when we just went for a walk. He has a sense of what is needed and when it is needed and never pushes beyond my capability. I owe him an extreme debt of gratitude for all the help he has given my in my recovery.

Upon returning to the gym from eight years of a break, I worked out for a year by myself practicing the old ways, however, I quickly realized that my old ways were not working. Thats when I met Wilder. As a personal trainer, Wilder is a professional who is extremely knowledgeable about his job, extremely devoted and is a no nonsense kind of personal trainer.
So if you want to engage in a personal conversation during a workout session in order to kill time, Wilder is not for you.
Wilder truly takes his job seriously, he is not only an effective trainer, but also is very knowledgable about nutrition, workout techniques and aims for the client to get the most out of the sessions.
Wilder also keeps himself up to date with studies, research and latest equipment on the market in order to be fully prepared as a trainer in order to meet various client needs.
One of the things that impressed me most about Wilder is that he conducts research on his own time in an effort to achieve results to benefit the client. I can honestly say that one of the reasons why Wilder is so effective as a personal trainer, is because he is an honest person who truly enjoys and takes great pride in his job as a personal trainer and cares for his client's goals.

Throughout my life there has been one goal I’ve hungered for more than any other and that is to be
physically fit. However decade after decade, that hunger was fed with junk food and unhealthy eating
habits. Now with the help of Wilder Foncea it is fed with motivation, desire, determination and a fuel
that is burning to never turn back to my old lifestyle. He has helped me with a massive overhaul in
learning how to eat right, exercise right each individual muscle in my body and live my life in the most
empowering way imaginable.
Previous to Wilder, I began working with a trainer for 5 years and showed very slight improvement. The
person I worked with was the head of a reputable gym facility so I thought they knew what they were
doing however I ended up needing to get surgery on my left wrist sometime after we started working
together. There was no specific injury to attribute the need for surgery so it couldn’t be certain that my
previous trainer was the cause so after a break I began working with them again then needed surgery on
my right wrist for the same issue. That was very frustrating and I broke off our training.
Thankfully I met Wilder Foncea through a friend’s referral and he has custom tailored our workouts to
fit my limitations with not being able to do super heavy weights or put great strain on my wrists. As a
result, in the past 3 months I’ve witnessed more positive transformations than I did with my original
trainer for the entirety of the 5 years before. It is amazing the professionalism, expertise, attention to
detail, genuineness and sincerity that Wilder delivers consistently. His vast array of life experience has
created an incredible mentor that has granted me the ability to walk the path that I had only previously
dreamt.

I shattered the base of neck and broke my collarbone in a car accident when I was in college. I had to undergo fusion surgery and have since developed severe cervical stenosis. For years I struggled to exercise, both on my own and with a handful of different trainers, without hurting myself on a regular basis. Nothing worked. When I started working out with Wilder, I was a wreck… smoking cigarettes, taking anti-depressants and adderall, extremely overweight, eating too much, and eating poorly.
After almost a year and a half working out with him three days a week, I have been off the cigarettes and meds for over a year, I have lost over 35 pounds, and I eat great and feel great. With my injury in mind, he has been designing individualized workouts for me that have helped my considerably with my posture and gotten me back in shape without hurting me.
Wilder’s emphasis on muscle confusion keeps workouts fresh and interesting and prevents the body from reaching the dreaded plateau. He knows how to work with serious injuries. He has a keen understanding of muscle groups and how they function, and has helped me develop muscles I didn’t even know existed in order to support areas that cause me pain. The only downside of working with Wilder is that I have had to buy a lot of new clothes because none of my old clothes fit anymore. This is a problem worth having, and I look and feel better than I have in years. Somehow, I have spent less money to train with him than with any trainer I have ever worked with in the past while doubtlessly achieving the most results at the same time.

My name is Robert de la Madrid. At the age of forty-one, after many years of being completely inactive, I decided that I needed to do something about my weight and my physical health. When I began training with Wilder in late August 2012, I was forty pounds overweight and had almost 25% body fat.
It was very clear right from the beginning that Wilder knew exactly what he was doing both regarding the exercise program he set up for me as well as the diet he designed for me. Wilder inspired a lot of confidence and I started to see results almost immediately. He seemed to know exactly what I needed to do and to eat (or not eat) in order for me to get the results that I wanted. He pushed me enough to get me where I wanted to go but not so much that I dreaded going in to meet with him for workouts. I got results quickly and safely. The diet that he designed for me was not a starvation diet or a crash diet and I never suffered any injuries during the entire time I worked with Wilder.
Overall, my training experience with Wilder was excellent. I dropped from nearly 25% body fat to 14% body fat over a period of 4 months and, during that same time, I lost the 40 pounds I wanted to lose and went from a size 36 waist to a size 31. As soon as I am able to return to training with Wilder, I am going to do it. Not only is he an excellent trainer, he's also a great guy.

I’ve worked out for years but I needed a change from my old school workouts, they were no longer productive. It was boring, results were not as expected and I lost the desire to workout. As soon as my best friend told me she was getting married and wanted me as her Maid of Honor, I hung
up the phone and called my former personal trainer Wilder Foncea. I was the only one she wanted up
next to her. Because she was already gorgeous, that was a lot of pressure on me to look good. I wanted
to look perfect for her most important day. I met with Wilder once a week for a few months. We would
meet in different locations around town and he would put me through different training every time. I
worked parts of my body and gained muscle in parts of my body I forgot even existed. He gave me a diet
plan, which I followed religiously. What Wilder said, I DID. When I would even think about cheating, my
friends would say “What would Wilder say?” or “I’m telling Wilder”, which secretly would scare me. He
was a great motivator, great therapist, easy to talk to and easy on the eyes. I cried at my dress fitting for
the wedding because I looked amazing. I even loved looking at myself naked. The day of the wedding,
obviously my best friend was the most beautiful thing in the room, but I like to think I was a close
second. Everyone made a comment about how great I looked. I definitely recommend Wilder Foncea if
you are looking to steal someone’s Thunder.
